Hi! Welcome to the Zürcher Theater Spektakel's social media channels! We appreciate feedback, encouragement and comments. However, there are a few points to bear in mind. Our netiquette is your compass for constructive communication on our social media channels. Fair and respectful interaction is very important to us not only on the festival site but also in the digital space.
The Zürcher Theater Spektakel is a venue for encounters with international art. Since 1980, it has brought artists with different experiences, backgrounds and perspectives to Zurich. This open-mindedness is one of the key characteristics that this festival has traditionally brought to the City of Zurich and, indeed, Switzerland.
We welcome you sharing your opinions, information and ideas about our programme and, if in doubt, taking a critical look at the productions. Where many people come together, many opinions come together. We ask this, even in heated discussions: stay cool and respectful! The same rules apply here as in real life.
We have a heart for critics, but not for haters. So please note the following points:
Respect
Anti-Semitic, racist, inhuman, sexist or otherwise discriminatory comments and slander have no place on our website. Hate speech, insults, degradation and discrimination against people or groups of people, in particular on the basis of their religion, ethnic origin, nationality, physical condition, sexual identity, age or gender, will not be tolerated and the corresponding comments will be deleted.
Stick to the point
Comments should always be linked to the content of our original post. Comments that have no connection to the posted content and do not promote respectful discussion will be removed.
Everyone speaks for themselves
The opinions expressed by the commenting users do not necessarily reflect the views of the Zürcher Theater Spektakel, nor do the positions of our employees and partners necessarily reflect the views of the Zürcher Theater Spektakel.
Disinformation
We do not tolerate our social media channels being used to spread disinformation. Disinformation is intentionally misleading information that aims to manipulate public opinion or cause unrest. Users who use our channels for this purpose will be blocked and their posts deleted.
As an arts and culture festival, we are not a platform for advertising or propaganda that has nothing to do with the Zürcher Theater Spektakel or violates other points of this netiquette. We reserve the right to delete such posts and block users who disregard this.
Data protection
Respect the privacy of others: the publication of contact addresses, telephone numbers, personal data, web links and commercial or advertising content is not permitted.
Quotes and images
If you want to use a quote in a post, please cite the source and the author. If you use images, make sure that you have the necessary copyrights or licences for them.
