The attractively designed bars and restaurants on the Landiwiese are an essential part of the festival’s unique atmosphere. The dedicated and weather-proof catering teams not only offer an excellent culinary programme but also play a key role in supporting the festival’s commitment to sustainability.

CANTINA

A culinary journey from the ocean floor to fruity delights – from algae to roots, from leafy greens to sun-ripened fruits. Refreshing drinks, delicate wines, lunch menus, coffee and cake, and homemade ice cream.

ENSEMBLE@L’ANDIS

L’Andis is now called «Ensemble@ L’Andis». The new take-away, «à la main», offers an extended range of snacks. The entire selection of food and drinks is based on sustainable, seasonal, and regional ingredients – all sourced with ecological and organic principles in mind. The signature «Globe Menus» reflect the core values of the team, offering dishes inspired by flavours from around the world. The full sustainability concept can be found at gmtparty.ch.

The place for the whole family – a space to play, dream, and invent. This year’s motto: «Construction site». Helmet on – let’s go! Popcorn and hot dogs (vegan & meat), countless syrup flavours for 1 franc, plus beer, wine, tea, and coffee for the grown-ups.

LA PLACITA

Argentinian empanadas, handmade with love in Zurich –also vegetarian and vegan. Served with Argentinian wines and beer, and soft drinks.

WATER STATIONS

Fast thirst quenchers: Fill your own bottle at one of the mobile water stations – an offer made possible with the support of Zürcher Kantonalbank. We aim to promote the conscious consumption of local drinking water. Here you can track how many PET bottles can be saved per day by the water stations on the Landiwiese and in Switzerland as a whole

Good to know

Cash is welcome!

All catering establishments on the Landiwiese accept Twint. Still, it’s worth keeping some cash on hand for your visit to the Theater Spektakel. It speeds up payment, shortens queues, and pleases caterers – who pay lower fees – as well as street artists, who rely on your donations. An ATM is located at the main entrance.

The restaurant Ensemble@L’Andis accepts hot food orders up to 30 minutes after the end of the last performance

Mama-Jam 

From Ambient to Afrobeat at Mama Put. Since 2024, the African restaurant at the Theater Spektakel has been hosting a small but fine music series. Young DJs from the Zurich scene spin laid-back dinner grooves with a hip-swaying vibe. Thu to Sun from 17:00. Special events: see daily program or follow on Instagram@mama_put_food&sound.

Sustainability – what we do

The bars and restaurants on the Landiwiese play a major role in making the Theater Spektakel as environmentally friendly as possible. For more information on sustainability at the Zürcher Theater Spektakel, see here.

Precedence to regional produce Precedence is given to products and ingredients from Switzerland or, whenever possible, from the Zurich region. This applies to vegetable, fruit and especially meat. Fish and seafood originate from certified farms or from sustainable fisheries.

Re-use All dishes, glasses and cutlery are washed and reused. Where this is not feasible, recycling material is used.

Collective orders With collective orders, the number of delivery trips is kept as low as possible.

Waste separation The waste is separated into recyclable material, organic and food waste (Kompogas) and combustible residual waste. Separation stations facilitate the correct disposal of the various waste. All gastronomic services control the separation of their waste in order to keep the contamination of recyclable material as low as possible and to ensure an energy-efficient disposal.

Eco-friendly cleaning Biodegradable and eco-friendly EM detergents are used for all cleaning work.

Energy saving The gastronomic services use energy saving lights and the festival is using solar electric power.
