Anyone who loves big picture theater will find what they are looking for here: Belgian artist Miet Warlop, who brilliantly opened the festival in 2023, returns to the Landiwiese with «INHALE DELIRIUM EXHALE». With 3500 meters of shimmering silk fabric, she unleashes a powerful vortex of fears, longings and the beauty of collective experience. In «Qui Som?», one of our opening productions this year, the Catalan collective Baro d'evel takes us on a magnificent poetic journey to inner and shared values - a search for what connects us, dreams, dances and resists. In «Farm Fatale», director and stage magician Philippe Quesne has a group of lovable scarecrows sing about the apocalypse - melancholy, playful and full of hope for a different future. And: thirty years after its premiere, William Kentridge and the Handspring Puppet Company reunite for a visually stunning reinterpretation of «Faustus in Africa!».
