«The Falling Sky» follows the Yanomami in the Brazilian Amazon during a Reahu ritual – a ceremonial act to prevent the sky from collapsing. Told through the words of shaman Davi Kopenawa, the film denounces illegal gold mining, environmental destruction, and introduced diseases. In calm, immersive images, Gabriela Carneiro da Cunha and Eryk Rocha reveal the spiritual and political strength of the Yanomami community.
