Teenage Songbook of Love and Sex
Reykjavík, Trondheim«Teenage Songbook of Love and Sex» is a musical performance by young people from Zurich and Reykjavik. They present their own songs about growing up, love and desire, about hope, awkward moments and heartbreak – unfiltered, direct and real. Following a two-week workshop with their peers from Iceland, they take to the Seebühne to share these songs together. A funny and courageous look at coming of age – raw, tender and surprisingly relatable.

What have you always wanted to tell a teenager about love and sex – but could not quite find the words for? And have you truly had the chanceto listen?
In this musical performance, teenagers and young adults from Reykjavik and Zurich sing songs they have written themselves about feelings, sexuality, fears and desire. Originally created in Iceland, the project travels across Europe, inviting local young people to join and create their own songs. Zurich is its next stop.
First love, first disappointments, first fantasies, first heartbreak. Countless books and films are devoted to young love – yet young peoplethem-selves rarely get the chance to tell their own stories. In «Teenage Songbook of Love and Sex», they finally take centre stage, speaking about their passions and disappointments – and giving voice on the Seebühne to the feelings of a generation that is far too rarely heard.
«Teenage Songbook of Love and Sex» is an ode to coming of age, a song to curiosity, desire, love and friendship – tender, overwhelming and full of empowerment.
