EMPLOYEES
Vacancies for year-round or festival operations are published here.
Generally, there is little turnover in the annual team. However, particularly during the festival period, there may be short-term opportunities to work in areas such as Artist Care, Entrance/Ticketing, or Technical/Infrastructure.
Interested individuals can send an unsolicited application including their CV and the area they are interested in working in to jobs@theaterspektakel.dont-want-spam.ch.
ARTISTS
Main programme
Solo artists and groups who would like to present their production at the Theater Spektakel can send their dossier and any audiovisual material they may have to contact@theaterspektakel.ch. There are no registration deadlines. If the artistic director is interested in the production, they will contact those responsible for the production.
Zentral Stages
Every year, the Zurich Theater Spektakel presents a curated programme of contemporary performing arts and street art on the Zentral Stages on the Landiwiese. The Zentral consists of two outdoor stages. We are no longer accepting applications for the Zentralbühnen 2026
Outdoor Venues
The Zürcher Theater Spektakel has designated outdoor venues for street performances. The application deadline was April 16, 2026. The number of artists and groups is limited. We are no longer accepting applications for 2026.
Side Acts
Alongside the scheduled street art programme in the outdoor spaces, small-scale, spontaneous Side Acts may take place on a limited basis within a clearly defined framework. Unlike registered street art performances, however, spontaneous performers are not guaranteed a slot. You can find the guidelines for Side Act performances here.
DIY Table
The Zürcher Theater Spektakel is launching a new project this year. At the DIY table, individuals and collectives can invite others to craft and tinker together, share skills and simply spend time. It is about unlearning packaged consumption, passing on skills, and creating space for exchange and connection. The format is intentionally open and leaves room for a wide range of ideas and approaches. So feel warmly invited – and don’t be shy – to bring your projects to the DIY table. You can find the open call for this format here.
