She screams, stomps, gasps, speaks on the inhale. Jana Jacuka continues her exploration of the voice with «AAA». Building on her earlier work «HA», in which she explored laughter as sound and focused on the phonemes H and A, she now examines the vocal, physical and political dimensions of each letter, as well as yodelling as a practice. With extreme vocal techniques and precise choreography, she asks how voice and body can permeate the entire space. An exploration of the choreographic potential of the vocal cords – precise, and inquisitive, opening up a sensory experience for the audience.
