Two musicians from the UK and seven percussionists from Uganda developed a ferocious blend of musical influences, driven by complex rhythmic patterns. Since then, they have released three albums, the latest, «Source Of Denial» (2023), and the group has been reduced to five. This is also due to the complex realities of touring across continents, with opaque visa processes and sceptical – at times insurmountable – border crossings, especially for those travelling towards Europe.
This reality is also reflected in the themes of the current album – already hinted at in the album title and tracks such as «Interrogation/Welcome». The fact that the band nevertheless continues to perform around the world is a stroke of luck: the energy generated by the fusion of live percussion and UK bass elements is unique, making the geographical distance from which it emerges disappear entirely.
