STREET PERFORMANCES ON OUTDOOR SPOT

GENERAL INFORMATION

The Zürcher Theater Spektakel is one of the best-known international festivals for contemporary forms of performing arts. Street art is an integral part of the programme. Defined outdoor venues are provided for performances by street artists. Interested artists can register using this form. The closing date for applications is 16 May 2025 and the number of artists and groups that can perform is limited.

PERFORMING CONDITIONS

Performance duration Maximum 30 minutes, including set-up and dismantling time
Fee Hat collection by the performers, CHF 200 lump-sum expense allowance
Suitable genres Various forms of street art. No amplified or loud instruments such as brass and percussion instruments.
Registration Street artists who would like to perform on the festival site can register using this form by 16 May 2025 at the latest. The number of artists who can perform is limited. No performance guarantee can be given to street artists who appear spontaneously.
Performance days Artists who would like to perform on the festival site can register for one or more performance blocks:
Performance block 1: Thu 14 to Tue 19 August
Performance block 2: Wed 20 to Mon 25 August
Performance block 3: Tue 26 to Sun 31 August
Please select all the performance blocks on the application form on which you are available (several are possible); the allocation is made by the festival (only one performance block per artist). Artists or groups are being assigned one performance slot per day.
Confirmation of performances Applications are processed on an ongoing basis. Confirmations will be made by the end of June 2025 at the latest and are only possible for one performance block and one performance slot per day per artist or group.
Accommodation Artists will be provided with a space for their own mobile home for the duration of the confirmed performances. Camping is not possible on the entire festival site.
Meals Artists who are registered to perform in the festival area will receive vouchers for catering on the festival site per day.
Liability The Zürcher Theater Spektakel accepts no liability whatsoever for any harmful effects of the artists' performances. Discriminatory behavior and language will not be tolerated. Artists who do not adhere to the prescribed rules and etiquette may be expelled from the festival site.
