Bell End

Geneva
Mathilde Inferno: Bell End | @Matthieu Croizier

At the core of «Bell End» is the «arsehole» – a toxic figure ubiquitous at work and in everyday life. Together with Arianna Camilli, Mathilde Ivernon dissects its micro-gestures and -words, at times comical, at others repulsive. The two performers turn ingrained gender stereotypes on their head and expose the language of masculinist dominance and misogynistic violences. Between ventriloquism and singing, masquerade and revelation, a provocative and simultaneously unsettling performance unfolds – surprising, playful, and political.
